Home visits
If you are too unwell to come to the surgery, we may be able to arrange a home visit after a clinical assessment.
Home visits are usually for people who are housebound or seriously unwell.
Request a home visit
To request a home visit, please contact us online and tell us about your symptoms.
If you cannot use the internet, please call the surgery and we will help you.
Important information
If you are able to come to the surgery, we ask that you do so whenever possible.
Home visits take much longer than appointments at the surgery. Seeing patients in the surgery means we can help more people each day.
Children can be brought to the surgery if they are unwell, including if they have a high temperature.
Other support at home
You may also receive care at home from other services if needed, including:
- A community nurse, if you have been referred by a GP or healthcare professional.
- A health visitor, if you have a young child.
For information about local support for children, young people and families, visit the Torbay Family Hub.
When we are closed
If you need urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed, visit NHS 111 online or call 111.
If someone is seriously ill or injured, call 999.
