Extended access

For patients who are registered at a Paignton or Brixham GP surgery, there are a limited amount of "Extended Access"  appointments available at local surgeries.

"Extended Access" is not a walk in service, appointments are for routine general practice issues and not for urgent care.

Mayfield Medical Centre's Extended Access appointments take place Tuesdays 6pm-8pm at our Totnes Road surgery.

When you book an appointment you will be asked for consent to share your own GPs record with the clinician providing your care at the appointment.  We need this to ensure the clinician can review your medical history and offer the correct treatment/advise, this also allows them to prescribe for you.

When we're closed 

NHS 111 

You can call NHS 111 by dialling 111 for advice and treatment when we are closed.

Accidents and emergencies (A&E)

If you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, you should go to your nearest A&E department or call 999. 

Local pharmacist 

Your local pharmacist is also able to give you medical advice and over-the-counter medicines for minor treatments. You don't need to book an appointment. Find your local pharmacist on the Find a pharmacy page on the NHS website.
